One of the most exciting programmes I have been involved with, Broadband Global Area Network (BGAN).
BGAN was the worlds first Broadband capable satellite service, accessible from devices as small as a laptop. Global coverage was achieved with the launch of 3 brand new satellites along with a suite of devices.
Critical to the launch was the arrival of the devices required through UAT, and readiness of global distribution partners, and I had responsibility to ensure the correct service providers were selected for launch, ensure readiness both commercially and technically and that devices were tested and approved.
The service launched successfully with 3 devices and 10 global distribution partners.
